This is quite possibly the worst "before" picture.
Next time I'm going to ask Brian to stand up to take the picture. :)
It's thick and unruly and I had started getting "ponytail" migraines. So, I decided to do something I've always wanted to do. I cut it off. And donated it.
Fourteen inches.
Locks of Love need a minimum of one half inch in diameter to make a wig. Mine is 2.5 inches.
(and obviously not blonde at the root!)
I love having it short! Not sure why I waited so long!!
(Headed out to dinner for a kid free dinner with my husband on my birthday last Wednesday)
In related news...Bailey gave herself a little trim. I had to blend the chunk she took out of her hair, so she's officially sporting side bangs. One of my friends said she has "big girl hair" now. Sigh. She does.
I guess she was ready for a change too.
Have a blessed day!!
I absolutley LOVE your new haircut!!
ReplyDeleteomg, I cannot believe how thick your hair is. That is something I've wished for my whole life :) I love it short, looks soooooo cute on you!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I just came across your blog somehow. Thought I'd say hi :)
I'm not saying you looked old with long hair however, the short hair makes you look about 10 years younger!! Many Blessings, Dawn
ReplyDeleteSuper cute...both of you!
ReplyDeleteBoth of you look so cute and chic with your stylin' new do's!
ReplyDeleteI think both are very cute!!!
ReplyDeleteCute cut! I get those headaches too :( keeping it short is the perfect, and cooler. Your baby is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the hair!! Way to go! I understand the long, thick, and unruly hair thing! I cut mind off last year...sadly, it was only 7 inches...not enough to donate! And honestly, though I loved aspects about it, because it sat right on my neck, it actually made me hotter than before I cut it! I've since said I was going to keep it short....but have let it grow back out!! {blush} it must come off again though!! LOL And I love little Bailey's hair! I was just think yesterday how my Bailey (who is 26 months) is starting to have "big girl" hair too.
ReplyDeleteI just want to know where you got your cute blue shirt!! Cause it's so me too, of course :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE your hair cut, I wish I could be that brave! It is a great look on you!
ReplyDeleteHeather you look beautiful!! I love the cut! Glad you were able to donate. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely new do. You little one is too cute. Thanks for your nice comment on my bakeshop tutorial.
ReplyDeleteHugs & stitches,
Jennifer
Coming from someone who hardly ever got to see you with your hair down, I think you look gorgeous with your new cut. Definitely sexier!
ReplyDeleteWOW WOW WOW, girl, I LOVE your new hair cut. You look absolutely gorgeous. Side note: I love that blouse ~ the color looks so good on you.
ReplyDeleteOh, and, my hair is super thick too {surprise, surprise!} ;)
