UPDATED: POST IS OFFICIALLY CLOSED TO MORE ENTRIES. A WINNER HAS BEEN CHOSEN. WATCH FOR DETAILS. THANKS!
As if I didn't have enough on my plate, I've decided to do a giveaway! I figured since my fabric is spread out across the dining room table, it's as good a time as ever!
I've been making baby blankets for a few years now (and even sold a few). I've learned a lot along the way, and I'm still learning the ins and outs of my machine. My blankets are perfectly imperfect, like me. Each one is unique and one of a kind. Here's one I just finished this week:
If I can find a way to be creative with the name embroidery, I try to. Otherwise, it's just a block or a rounded applique like this one:
I make them a generous size so they work for tummy time, and can be used even when baby gets bigger. And yes, I do make boy ones too (the two I just finished this week happened to be for little girls).
If you would like to win one for yourself (or give one as a gift), then simply leave a comment. I will choose a winner at random on November 5th. Then, all you need to do is let me know if the blanket is for a boy or a girl, and the name you would like embroidered. (I'll also send pics of the fabrics I have on hand so you can choose one that you like).
Good luck!
A little coffee. A lot of Jesus. Remembering the blessings among the chaos of life.

You're such an entrepreneur!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI just got to pull Talon's back out, cause it got cold and he was in love!! He told me Aiden's had formula on it! HAHAHA

Pick me, pick me :)
ReplyDeleteSo sweet HJ! I love it and would think really hard of who I could give it too if you pick me :)
ReplyDeleteWell, people around me are procreating like crazy...so I could find a worthy home :)
ReplyDeleteLook at all these comments Heather! How fun! I like where you wrote that the blankets are imperfect - I'm too chicken to give anything away or do cakes for anyone because I know they aren't quite right. From now on, I'll just set the standard as imperfect from the beginning! Then it won't matter!
ReplyDeleteIf the random number is mine, you'd need to make another little girl blanket. ;)
I just found you through your I Heart Faces post (I just found them too). I like to use Minkee to make snugglie tag blankets... I like how you are incorporating it into blankets!
ReplyDeleteIf I won a blanket, it would probably wind up in the hands of my sweet neighbor boy (who is 13 months). His name is Nils.
So absolutely adorable... I'm so proud of you!... been thinking about you A LOT lately. Hope all is well. It sure looks like it is. :)
ReplyDeleteHeather, these are so cute! I want one. I wish I had a sewing machine to do what you do. I know how to sew I just don't have a machine. So cute and what a grand idea!

Wow, Heather! I had no idea you were so talented with sewing! Wish I lived closer and you could show me the right way to use my temperamental sewing machine. ;)The blankets are beautiful. Gregory would be thrilled to win one. -Susan Blazek
ReplyDeleteI am already a winner cause I have an awesome friend named Heather Jo! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd these blankets are GORGEOUS! I will probably have to order one for my friend's shower--gotta find out if she picked a name yet.
You are so talented! Even if i dont win i want to order one before #3 is born...so cute and UNIQUE..love, KT
ReplyDeleteDoes being overseas disqualify me automatically? :) Love the little blankets - they're so sweet! Good work! I didn't realize you had a blog, but now that I've found it I'm enjoying it.
